Christmas

Christmas came and went too fast this year. The family once again was spoiled by good ole Santa Claus and all our relatives. The big gift for the fam was the Wii. We played it a lot that day. Halle loved her singing High School Musical game, Lowell and Austin loved playing Madden Football and Star wars and the family loved creating all of our own Mii's. That was a great laugh to see how our kids perceived our bodies and face shapes. At least enough, we know where to focus and make our new years resolutions.
We also were hit with a BIG snow storm. Unfortunately, I never went outside to take pictures of it. It was a perfect white Christmas and snow day.

Gingerbread Houses

The annual tradition of making gingerbread houses occurred again this year. Normally, we all make our own out of milk cartons, graham crackers, frosting and decorations, but this year Mom was not on top of it and forgot so Costco rescued us with our gingerbread house kit. We made the mistake of telling Halle she was really creative because for the next half hour we heard "I'm being really creative, huh mom?" The other mishap Halle had while making them was sitting in the frosting. She had more on her hind end then on the house itself. Jett happily tasted all of the candy before it went on the house. Yum! It sure is a good thing that gingerbread houses are just for show.

Princess Tea Party

Halle and I went to a Princess Tea Party this past weekend at the Festival of Trees.  Halle got to dress up like a princess, take pictures with princesses, make her own crown, and color princess pictures. She ate shape PB & J sandwiches, veggies and best of all a pink cupcake. She also had strawberry milk and water glasses with pink sugar crystals stuck to them. Can you imagine a girl being in a happier place?

Temple Square Lights

Over Thanksgiving while in Utah we went to Temple Square with the McDougal family to see the Christmas lights. Yes, our family is missing a member because Grandma and Grandpa volunteered to watch Jett and we willingly accepted. We love them for that because he would not have enjoyed being strapped in a stroller or in the cold.
I sure remember there being a ton more lights but maybe it was just because I was a kid. All in all, it was just fun to get together with friends and share a little Christmas spirit.
