California Trip Recap

Who knew that Halle would love roller coasters and the Tower of terror (which a free fall ride). She rode every ride that she met the height requirement and loved them. Austin, of course, loved all of it but especially the California Screamin' roller coaster. Jett too would ride anything that he could but his favorite was the train around the park. Who knew he had a one track mind. Dad loved just being there with his family and the fact that Mom was willing to be spontaneous and go. Too bad we had to come home to the snow after being in PARADISE.

California Adventure

The Richards family by the "R" outside California Adventure park.
Austin enjoying the water at the kids playground because it was hot that day.
Halle being shunned by Sulle because she did not stand in the right line to meet him. Who knew ... it just looked like a big crowd of people!

The saving grace of the trip

We bought this Disney monorail train for Jett the first day we were in Disneyland. It was the best $15 I have ever spent. It occupied him for the week. He would sit, stand or lay anywhere and play with this train. Thank you cho0-choo!

Huntington Beach

We took a break from Disneyland and decided to visit the beach. Who says that kids will not play in FREEZING cold water? Mine did. In fact, I was not very prepared because it wasn't a really warm day so we didn't put the swim suits on. We should have because after the search for seashells began they got wet.

Austin could not stop himself from running in it. It was just so much fun!
Jett trying to figure out if he loves the sand or not.

Halle is sure she will not get caught by the water. She fell in or got pushed over twice.
The studs! Lowell loves the beach. He could sit and listen to the water and enjoy the scenery.

Disneyland Day 2

We began the day early at Disneyland. We had an early entrance ticket. It was well worth using . We were able to ride a lot of rides before the lines got really, really long.

Here is Austin and Halle trying to break out of Toon Town.

Who is his mother? Can you believe she would let her son walk around the park like that? Well that is what happens when the diaper doesn't work so well.

The kids cranking the tea cup for Mom to get especially dizzy and sick. I now know why Lowell was More than willing to let me ride this one with the kids.

Disneyland Day 1

Austin enjoying all his loot from the Pirates.

The kids teasing their mom while waiting for a ride. I am so glad I am loved.
Halle posing.
Jett excited to ride his first ride. We started out with Pirates of the Carribean. He loved it.
What cute kids!

The first stop

We traveled Saturday to Las Vegas to stay with Aunt Amy, Uncle Heath and Indy (the dog). The kids loved being with them and playing with the dog. I think they wore the dog out. Austin and Halle woke up early and played with Indy. Heath got a video of Halle playing with the dog and his toy.

On our way

We surprised the kids this morning with going to Disneyland for Spring break. I made them Mickey Mouse pancakes for breakfast. Austin came up and asked why was I making them in that shape? Then we announced that we were going to Disneyland. I don't think that they really believed me because how often is Mom spontaneous. NEVER! So we were off. The first big day was to drive to Vegas.
